Arkansas Wild Spaces
Arkansas Wild Spaces is a program run by the Central Arkansas Master Naturalists. Starting this summer, AWS will send habitat advisors to visit yards of people who take a natural habitat pledge and donate a nominal amount. The advisors will educate homeowners on non-native invasive plants to remove and natives to plant, and get them started on the road to create their own wild habitat in their yards. If you want to plant natives but don’t know how to start, you’ll want to tune into this program!
About Lynn Foster
Lynn Foster grew up in Chicago, where as a child the only native birds she ever saw were in the form of illustrations in a bird book her parents gave her as a Christmas present. She has lived in Arkansas for 35 years. She’s a retired law professor and is thankful to have the time to pursue her passion, living in nature. She writes the Nature in the Natural State spots for KUAR, and co-founded the Arkansas Wild Spaces program.
