On Thursday, April 8 at 7 p.m. CST, CALS Arkansas Sounds presents a tribute to Arkansas soul, pop, and gospel music icon, Al Green! Al Green is a legendary singer, songwriter, and record producer who has sold more than 25 million records and won 11 Grammy Awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Green received a Kennedy Center Honors in 2014 and a BMI Icon Award in 2004. Green is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Our playlist celebrates the legacy of this Forrest City, Arkansas native with rare clips, interviews, and live performances.
