If you are interested in future openings, please fill out the interest form below. If you are interested in volunteering as a tutor please proceed with filling out the volunteer application and you will be contacted immediately. Parents and students who fill out the interest form will be contacted as soon as we have an opening. If you have questions, please email us at countup@cals.org.

The Count Up Math Tutoring Program was launched at the end of 2020 and aims to pair qualified, trained volunteers with children in grades K-12 who need assistance with real-time math tutoring. Currently there are students who have filled out forms to join the tutoring program and are just waiting for their tutor match in order to start sessions. Tutors will meet with students remotely through Zoom for up to an hour each week to work on catching up, getting ahead, or just staying on top of their math schoolwork.

There is an immediate need for tutors. Volunteers should have strong math skills and/or a background working with youth in some capacity and be able to have reliable weekly availability of their choosing. Volunteers should be at least 16 years of age and will need to pass a background check and undergo training to be a part of this program. We have a need for any amount of time tutors can commit: even if it’s just half an hour per week! Tutoring takes place every day of the week.

Volunteers interested in tutoring can fill out this form.
