MAIL AND RECEIVING CLERK – Central Arkansas Library System is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time mail and receiving clerk.  Duties include operation and maintenance of postage machine (MailOne software); receiving, sorting, and posting of mail for 14 branches; preparing mail and packages for pickup by USPS; preparing UPS shipments; and receiving all deliveries for Main campus including book donations. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Salary starting at $22,505.60, includes excellent benefits. LIBRARY ASSISTANT II / CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMER – full-time public service position at Thompson Library. Responsibilities include creating and implementing programs for children, doing community outreach, checking materials in and out, answering patron questions, registering patrons for library cards, some information searching and shelving. Familiarity with technology, digital media, ability to do instructional assistance on devices, and excellent communication and customer service skills are required. Familiarity with popular reading and entertainment materials desirable. Some evenings and Saturdays required. $23,400 plus excellent benefits. LIBRARY ASSISTANT I / AUDIO VISUAL ASSISTANT – Part time, 20 hours per week, public service position at the Hillary Rodham Clinton Children's Library and Learning Center. Primary duties include circulation and public service, management of audio-visual materials (problems, missing parts, broken materials), and customer service to a diverse population of users. Ability to work with computers and troubleshoot computer problems is required. A willingness and ability to work with children of all ages with an attitude of kindness and patience is required. The hours are primarily afternoon and evening hours with some Saturdays. $10.82/hour, includes good benefits. Pages are part-time positions, sorting and shelving materials. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Must be able to reach all shelving with aid of a kick stool. Must have some knowledge of computers.
